NATO Secretary General, No Decision Has Been Made Regarding The Delivery of F-16 Jets to Ukraine

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that until now there has been no decision regarding the delivery of F-16 aircraft to Ukraine.

However, he confirmed that Ukrainian F-16 pilot training had begun.

“Exactly when a decision will be taken, it is too early to say.

But the fact that the training has started gives us the option to also decide to deliver the aircraft and then the pilots will be ready to fly them," Stoltenberg told a NATO Defense Ministers meeting in Brussels, as reported by TASS.
The Secretary General of NATO welcomed the decision of some NATO Allies to provide fighter pilot training.

That said, it was important and would allow NATO at a later stage to deliver fourth-generation fighters such as the F-16.

Stoltenberg praised Denmark for playing a leading role in facilitating the agreement and offered to provide training for Ukrainian pilots.

Meanwhile the Netherlands said on Wednesday that a training center for Ukrainian pilots would be set up in Eastern Europe.

This refers to the activities of NATO countries to develop training programs.
